OMNI Interactive Systems was created by Mr. Fredrick Powell in 1993.  Mr. Powell was in search of an integrated automation system for the new home he was building in Mechanicsburg.  There were few electronic system integrators in the country and none in this area.  Therefore, he and an associate tested the systems which became the basis for OMNI--one of the nation's first comprehensive system integrator of whole house audio, video, home theater, automation, security, as well as structured wiring for telecommunicatons and internet systems. Mr. Powell previously was founder and president of Rehab Systems Company, a nationwide, multimillion dollar medical rehabilition facilities design and service company. The business is now run by his two sons.  Don Powell, president and Jeff Powell, vice president.
